Enthusiasm Makes the Difference: Author Of The Power Of Positive Living
ENTHUSIASM MAKES THE DIFFENCE
It is more than just being excited about something, Enthusiasm can make a big difference in your life. According to Norman Vincent Peale, Enthusiasm is the magic ingredient that can help you persuade others, overcome fear and worry, help you enjoy your life more, and get motivated to reach your goals .
SO WHERE DOES ENTHUSIASM COME FROM AND HOW DO WE GET IT?
1. Enthusiasm is a Mindset: You are in control of your own level of enthusiasm. You can make yourself more enthusiastic by simply deciding you are going to be. Peale says, use the "As if" principle. Act as if you are already possessing that quality. Rejuvenate your mind by telling yourself the good news. Never build a case against yourself. Eliminate self pity and list your assets. #Happy expectations will increase your enthusiasm. Shift from apathy to enthusiasm.
2. Enthusiasm Breeds Enthusiasm: The more enthusiastic you are the more you believe in yourself, others believe in you and the more you go all in and get better results. Enthusiasm allows you to light fire and #motivation under your goals so you can make things happen. Making things happen increases your enthusiasm. Focus on helping and serving others and notice your enthusiasm soar. Shift your mindset and go all in!
3. Enthusiasm takes Practice: Maintain a #positive emphasis on your life, continue to believe in yourself and have faith while you go all in. Don't waste your mental energy on worry or fear. Let go of negative thoughts and recondition your mind to see the positive. Talk about the happy things and live your life, don't simply exist. Have a goal and keep practicing enthusiasm around that goal. Enthusiasm cancels fear and worry. BUT you have to practice!
Knowing we can dissolve fear, fuel goals, and increase happiness from enthusiasm and that we have control over it, it makes perfect sense to shift the #mindset towards more enthusiasm in our lives.
ASK YOURSELF:
When have you felt really enthusiastic in the past? What were you doing? What were you thinking? Who were you with? What would be the best actions you could take to increase your level of enthusiasm in the next week?
