WHY PEOPLE DON'T SUCCEED:

1. THEY ARE NOT COACHABLE: Make a commitment to be 100% coachable- that is you are open to learning and trying new things

2. THEY DON'T TREAT THIS LIKE A BUSINESS: If you treat your business like a hobby, it will pay like a hobby. Make your business a priority.

3. THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO GET UNCOMFORTABLE: Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

4. THEY'RE NOT HUNGRY ENOUGH: I was willing to do what ever it took to build it. This HAS to work mentality.


ACTION TIPS: DIG deep and dream big so that your hunger propels you into action and changes your life. Make sure you are passionate about what you are doing. It must move you deep in your soul, enough to keep you committed. You need a bulletproof WHY to get you through tough times. Tried and tested goal setting questions: WHAT do I want to accomplish? WHEN do I want to accomplish it? WHY do I want to accomplish it? HOW bad do you want it? TAKE ACTION.


MAKE A MASTER LIST:

Create a master list of everyone you know, whether it's close relationships or acquaintances. You will think of new people everyday. Jog your memory. High school, Spouse's friends, Past colleagues, Professionals, Mom groups, Clubs, Teachers, Brother or Sisters Network. You know people. Keep adding to your list.

Make a TOP 30 DREAM TEAMERS: These are people you would love to work with, for whatever reason. Proven success, influencer, personality, fun.

Make a DIRT LIST: These are people that would help you sell dirt. They love to support you and value you as a human.

Make a CHICKEN LIST: These are people you are too scared to talk to right now.


GET OVER YOUR DAMN SELF:

TELL YOUR STORY: People are drawn to authenticity, so don't be afraid to share your real story. Build your story library. Have many story's that support your different offerings. What is your success story? Stories sell products and services and connects people to your WHY. Connect with potential clients.

TALK YOUR WAY: Have thousands of conversations. Reach out. But don't be attached to outcome, don't be on the hunt, Less is more, be authentic, Listen, really listen, Lead with what is in it for them. Start up conversations everywhere. Lot's and lot's of people. Get comfortable.

SOLVE A PROBLEM ELIMATE PAIN: Figure out a person's pain point and how your business can reduce or eliminate their pain. Pain might be Misses making her own money. No pain would be bring in independent income. Tired of the impossible schedule: No pain Flexible hours. ACTION TIP: What's your target markets pain and how do you solve the pain? Write down their language and your solution side by side. I love this because your not selling but rather helping and solving a problem. Always be asking what's in it for them?

HELP OTHERS MAKE DECISIONS: Malcom Gladwell talks about two types of decision makers- the gunslinger and the methodical analytic type. People make better decisions when they filter and focus on the few factors that matter instead of focussing on the overwhelming number of variables. Move prospects through the process quickly, and tell them the next steps. Answer all potential objections, replay what the prospect has told you she's looking for.

ASK FOR REFERRALS: You have a gift to share and you're looking for people who want what you have to offer. This one feels really comfortable for me and much of my business is through referral but sometimes I forget to ask.

OBJECTION ARE GOOD: Allow objections or people who don't want to do business with you. Objections are helpful ways to guide the conversation and information for the future. Let go of people who simply are not interested in what you have to offer. There are plenty of people you will find that will value and love what you have to offer.

FOLLOW UP: It's all about how you can serve. Reach back to people with updates on your business, new product launches, an event, good news, give them value, show them others success,

#FUCKFEAR: Fear has destructive power to stop all your intentions. We often get cloaked in fear and over time it can become so thick and heavy that it keeps us from remembering our dreams.


SUMMARY:

What resonated for me was the idea of if you treat your business like a hobby, it will pay like a hobby. Make your business a priority.

I discovered this book is more targeted towards network marketing, I still pulled out some nuggets of support. Like getting hungry enough, power of story and your WHY, and the huge NETWORK we have.
